Beginning in the fall of 2019, technical education students at Ozarks Technical Community College can pursue their degrees with an emphasis in remanufacturing. Diesel, automotive and manufacturing students will have the opportunity to enhance their employability with a series of courses developed specifically to prepare students for high-demand jobs in the remanufacturing industry. The new remanufacturing courses offered by the college will cover the following fundamental remanufacturing principles: core management, inspection and cleaning, salvage and reclamation, repair, and preventative maintenance. They will also include an intensive hands-on training component. Graduates who follow the new remanufacturing pathway will have the emphasis in remanufacturing technology noted on their diplomas.
Dr. Matt Hudson
Dean of Technical Education, Ozarks Technical Community College
Dr. Matt Hudson is Dean of Technical Education at Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) in Springfield, Missouri. Matt earned bachelor’s degrees in English and secondary education with a minor in business from Drury University. He went on to receive his master of secondary educational administration from Missouri State University. Then, he completed a specialist degree in educational administration and a doctorate in executive leadership from Saint Louis University. After working as a teacher, school administrator, and district office administrator for a total of 15 years in K-12, Matt came to higher education at OTC in 2015. As Dean, he overseas more than 20 technical programs and a team of 222 individuals.
